How to Trade in Warframe (2024)

Trading in Warframe is an essential part of the game as this allows you to exchange items with other players depending on what you need.

You may either trade items for items or items for Platinum, based on what your agreement with the other player would be.

This is an easy way to get rid of extra things that you may have or to get Platinum for farming what others may need.

Warframe Trade Requirements

Before you can begin trading, there are certain things that you will need to ensure, which are most vital to avoid spam accounts.

To trade in Warframe, you will need to be at least Mastery Rank 2 or higher, which is quite easy to reach after playing the game for a while.

For security purposes, you will need to enable Two-Factor Authentication which can be done from their site. (You can be brought there ingame through a prompt)

Trade Process in WarframeWarframe Trading Post

When you need to Trade items, Sell items for Platinum, and more, you simply need to get in touch with the player you want to trade with.

Once you have both agreed on a trade, one of you will need to invite the other person to their Dojo or you can meet up at Maroo’s Bazaar.

You will need to be at a party to make sure that you meet at the Bazaar or if you want to be brought to the person’s Dojo and vice versa.

In Maroo’s Bazaar, you may interact with the person you want to trade with, or in the Dojo, you simply need to interact with the Trading Post and select the person.

Once the trade starts, place the item you want to trade and they will do the same, which allows both of you to see what will be exchanged.

Once both of you have placed the trade items, you will need to select the “Check when ready to trade” and confirm the trade with the next window that pops up to complete it.

What Currency Can be Used for Trading in Warframe?

In Warframe, you can either trade items or Platinum only, and the options are all in the trade window, allowing you to choose what you want to trade.

Not all items can be traded though, and you will know which ones are available if they appear in the trade window when you check them.

Some players tend to trade Platinum most of the time to get items from others that they currently need to speed up their progress.

Where to Trade in Warframe?

As of now, there are currently 2 locations where trading can be done, which are at Maroo’s Bazaar, located on Mars, or at a Dojo.

You do not have to have a Dojo to trade as other players may invite you to theirs or you can always meet up at the Bazaar.

Players will tend to simply invite each other to a Dojo to quickly trade with one another and these are completed quickly.

How to Activate Two-Factor Authentication While Trading?

If you need to activate Two-Factor Authentication, you can simply go there via the ingame prompt or visit www.warframe.com and log in.

Once you have logged in, open your user information by clicking on your name (Which shows your name and Mastery Rank on the top right) and select account management.

Scroll down and you will see the Tennoguard Two-Factor Authentication feature, which you can enable, and this will send you a confirmation E-mail afterward.

Open the E-mail that was sent to you and confirm it, which will now activate your 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication).

Warframe Trade Terms

When it comes to trading, you are not allowed to trade any ingame items for real currency and this is strictly prohibited.

You are only allowed to trade what’s in the game and those who tend to do suspicious activity may be caught and penalized.
